Oshkosh Corporation is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees. To promote professional development and networking, the first Oshkosh Women’s Network event was held in May 2015. Piloted in the Fox Valley region of Wisconsin, the Oshkosh Women’s Network is the Company’s first employee resource group. The purpose of the group is to help women achieve their full potential by providing forums for networking and professional development to drive success at Oshkosh.
The event was highlighted with presentations by Chief Human Resources Officer Janet Hogan, Senior Vice President of Quality & Continuous Improvement Colleen Moynihan, Chief Executive Officer Charlie Szews and Board of Directors Member Kathleen Hempel. Ms.Kathleen Hempel stressed the importance of preparing for potential promotions, taking risks, learning and moving on from mistakes, and building professional relationships with managers early on.
The event also included a keynote speaker and a panel discussion with President and Chief Operating Officer Wilson Jones, Vice President and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer Bettye Hill as well as Janet Hogan, and Kathleen Hempel. These panelists provided first-class career advice, while expressing support for the corporation’s female employees.
This resource network not only compliments the diverse and inclusive culture of Oshkosh Corporation, it enhances corporate performance and innovation by empowering employees.
